Yummy Snack Ideas for people travelling on a Bus
Make a smoothie. Not only are they healthy and packed with nutrients, they are also very filling. A great kick start if you have to board the bus early in the morning.

Take the following ingredients …
½ Cup vanilla frozen yogurt
¾ cup pineapple or orange juice
… and blend until smooth.
Caramel Popcorn is perfect for travellers with a sweet tooth. Melt a 1/3 cup of butter with 1 tablespoon of honey and a pinch of salt. Add 12 cups of popcorn to this syrupy mixture and stir well. Spread on a parchment lined pan and bake for 15 minutes at 180 degrees. Allow to cool.
Make your own granola bars. It will work out much cheaper and you can share them with your family and friends.
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a pot with a 1/3 cup honey and a 1/3 cup brown sugar. Add a pinch of salt. Mix 2 cups of rolled oats in the syrup and add nuts and dried fruit to your taste. Add 2 tablespoons of wheat germ and press the mixture into a square pan. Bake for 30 minutes at 148 degrees. Cool and cut into bars.
Churros are a delicious Mexican treat best enjoyed with a yummy chocolate dip. To make the dough, combine 1 cup of water with 1 cup of all-purpose flour in a saucepan. Stir over a medium heat and add ½ teaspoon salt and 2 tablespoons oil. Stir until it forms a ball and remove from the heat. Allow the mixture to cool before putting it in the piping bag.
Heat oil and pipe strips of the mixture in the oil and allow it to fry until golden brown. Roll in cinnamon and sugar and enjoy with chocolate sauce or Nutella.
Fruit kebabs are a versatile treat which everyone from adults to children can enjoy. Just pick your favourite fruit and cut it into squares. Skewer the fruit pieces on small kebab sticks or toothpicks.
Apple moons with peanut butter are the perfect healthy combination of sweet and salty. Cut an apple in moon pieces and slather peanut butter on the pieces. You can add peanuts or almonds for an extra crunch. Try them, it’s delicious!
